WelcomeImpact Impact upon food products consumers’ safety and heath Through its activity, the laboratory brings its contribution to the monitoring of food product safety and quality Professional impact The involvement of the personnel working in the educational system in the activity of development for the laboratory infrastructure and extension of accreditation will contribute to the enrichment of its members’ professional experience, which will be reflected both in the consulting activity provided to food producers, as well as in establishing future specialists in food industry Due to the fact that the Laboratory of Physico-chemical and Microbiological Analyses is subordinated to the Research Center for Biotechnologies in Food Industry and Aquaculture ( CCBIAA), which, in its turn is founded on a higher education institution, it can organize training courses for the personnel in charge of the laboratory or responsible with food quality and safety, in factories, courses related to: - tests that they wish to conduct in their own laboratories - the type of storage and administration of recordings The purchased laboratory equipment and the additional peripherals will receive their quality validation with ISO 9001/9002 certificate. Social impact The laboratory, witch is currently conducting its activities with personnel involved in the educational system, will extend and intensify its activity so that, according to demands, it will employ personnel which will deal exclusively with analyses, which means that it will contribute to the creation of new jobs. Ecological impact The Laboratory of Physico-chemical and Microbiological Analyses will not release dangerous substances or living organisms in the environment. The measures taken in view of protecting the environment will conform to the Law no.137 from 29th December 1995 – The environmental law. All the equipment to be purchased and all the procedures to be elaborated will follow the ISO 14001 environment management standard .
